The Lagos Fashion and Design Week from the 15th to 20th February 2013, was a worthwhile exhibition. Although I am not a fashion writer, but I do enjoy taking pictures. I attended the event and it was exciting. Hosted by the British Council and the British Fashion Council in Kingly Court, Carnaby Street London. Favorite Designers such as Bridget Awosika, LFDW – Creative Enterpreneur runner-up; Kola Kuddus, 2011 LFDW Finalist; Ejiro Amos – Tafiri & 2012 LFDW Finalists; 83 & 80s, Meena, Orange Culture, Adebayo Oke-Lawal and Wisdom Franklyn.
I also met Yetty Ogunnubi; Fashion designer, Artist, Designer representing Yetty D Revolution (www.yettyd.com), Josie Fadlin representing Ma Nubiah (www.manubiah.co.uk), Crystal; art Director and Creative Director representing Crystal Deroche (www.crystalderoche.co.uk)
Each participating designers had to represent the future of fashion in their region with their designs. The public, together with international press and buyers, to explore these creative collections.
Woven threads housed the fashion designers and created a perfect venue to display their designs, better yet works of art. I hope my pictures tell a good story .
